Tackle What's Holding You Back
What Brings People Here
Maybe you can’t quite put your finger on it, but something feels off . You’re doing everything you’re supposed to do, but it’s not working like it used to.
You might be feeling:
- Overwhelmed – Like there’s too much on your plate and no time to breathe
- Stuck – Going through the motions but not getting anywhere
- Irritated – Small things set you off more than they should
- Exhausted – Tired even when you’ve gotten enough sleep
- Disconnected – From your family, friends, or even yourself
- Worried – About work, money, or whether you’re doing enough
- Pressured – Like everyone needs something from you but no one asks what you need
- Work stress that doesn’t stay at work. Feeling like you’re failing as a partner or parent. Relationship problems when you don’t know how to fix them. Anger that comes out of nowhere. Anxiety about the future or job security. Major life changes that knocked you off course. Feeling like you have to handle everything alone. The truth is, most men weren’t taught how to handle these situations, just to tough it out. That’s where therapy can actually help: by giving you tools that work.
I use practical strategies combined with proven therapeutic techniques to help you build real skills you can actually use. These are concrete tools designed to get you unstuck and back in control.

Fall has a way of forcing change. Days get shorter, evenings get cooler, and schedules tighten. Instead of resisting the shift this season is one of the best opportunities to reset and build habits that last. For men in their 30s and 40s, when health, performance, and relationships all compete
(Spoiler: It’s Not Lying on a Couch Talking About Your Childhood) Let’s get one thing straight, therapy for men isn’t just about crying on a couch or digging through every childhood memory. It’s about solving real problems with tools that work. Why Men Avoid Therapy (And Why That’s Changing) A
You do care. Not in the loud, billboard-blasting, talk-to-a-stranger-at-the-coffee-shop about your life story kind of way. But in the quiet, steady way that shows up for your family. You care about being present. You care about being a better partner, a better dad, a better man. You want to communicate
Let’s talk self-care—but not the “zone out with beer and video games” version, or the mindset that blowing off steam at the bar counts as hitting reset. Real self-care isn’t always glamorous or relaxing. Sometimes it looks like doing the thing you’ve been avoiding, sitting with uncomfortable emotions, or giving
Ever feel like you’re trying to keep a million plates spinning at once, and one wrong move sends them all crashing down? It’s true, being a modern woman is tough, and that’s why so many of us are connecting with Paris Paloma’s song “Labour.” Basically, it hits home because it
Beyond the Stereotype We often picture depression as a dramatic, visible affliction, perhaps echoing the stark portrayal of Edward Norton’s character in “Fight Club”—a heavy, debilitating energy, a profound loss of identity, and a visible struggle. However, the reality of depression is far more nuanced. Indeed, there’s a quieter, more
Our society often encourages us to overcome unwanted behaviors with a blunt instrument: “Stop!” Stop drinking, stop smoking, stop overeating, stop, stop, stop… This approach, however, often misses the mark. What if the behavior itself isn’t the real issue? Perhaps we need to delve deeper, beyond the surface-level action. Discipline
Men are strong, intelligent, and often natural leaders. Yet, society frequently discourages men from expressing emotion. From a young age, boys are taught that crying or showing vulnerability is socially unacceptable. To do so risks being labeled as weak, leading to rejection or ridicule. This early conditioning teaches boys to
Every year, it’s the same story. The clock strikes midnight, the champagne pops, and suddenly, everyone is an expert life coach. New Year’s resolutions abound: “go to the gym more,” “learn to meditate,” “be more present.” The intentions are noble, but the reality? Most resolutions fizzle out faster than a
The holidays are a magical time for many, full of twinkling lights, joyful gatherings, and the nostalgia of traditions. But they can also be overwhelming—an unrelenting barrage of expectations, social obligations, and emotional triggers. If you’ve ever found yourself saying yes to too much, dreading yet another holiday event, or

How can therapy help overcome traumas and emotional problems?
Traumas and emotional problems can cast a long shadow, impacting your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Therapy offers a compassionate hand to break through these shadows. Imagine a safe, confidential space where you can discuss your struggles openly and honestly, free from judgment. This is the foundation therapy provides, allowing you to explore difficult emotions and memories related to trauma in a healthy way. Revive empowers you with concrete tools and strategies. Your therapist can help you understand how past experiences shape your present, offering techniques like EMDR to process trauma and move forward. Additionally, you’ll learn healthy coping mechanisms for managing difficult emotions like anxiety, depression, and anger. This equips you to tackle challenges head-on, fostering resilience and a sense of control over your life. Remember, therapy is a journey, not a destination. With ongoing support and guidance, you can heal, build stronger relationships, and ultimately, overcome the obstacles that stand in your way. So, if you’re struggling, know that help is available and you don’t have to face these challenges alone.
What is the Ideal therapy session length and frequency?
Unfortunately, there’s no “ideal” therapy length or frequency that fits everyone. It depends on various factors like the specific issue, severity, individual progress, and personal goals. Typically, therapy starts weekly and adjusts to some degree based on needs. Short-term therapy (10-20 sessions) might address specific issues. Complex challenges or deep-seated issues may require longer-term therapy (months or even years).
Meeting once a month is more about maintenance than real progress. I recommend weekly or bi-weekly sessions so we can dig into the deeper, root issues. the very things that drive the daily stressors you feel on the surface. By addressing what’s underneath, real and lasting change becomes possible.
What types of therapy do you do?
I take a holistic, individualized approach, never a one-size-fits-all method. My work is grounded in person-centered care, EMDR, and expressive arts, while also drawing from other evidence-based approaches such as DBT, somatic and mind-body practices, motivational interviewing, CBT, and attachment-focused perspectives. I meet you where you are, focusing on your goals and what matters most to you. I like to think of these methods as ingredients, together, we create a personal “recipe” designed just for you.
Why Out of Network?
I am an out-of-network provider (OONP), which allows me to provide quality care and specialties for you. My rates are carefully chosen to maintain certifications, continue education for up-to-date care services, reduce burnout, maintain overhead costs, and access fair living wages.
How long does a therapy session last?
Typically, each session is a 55-minute duration.
How long will I be in therapy?
Therapy is an investment—most importantly, an investment in yourself. Variables that impact the duration of services are based on the severity of symptoms, goals, and motivation levels.
Why the name 'Revive'?
Revive was created with healing in mind. When we experience trauma we can feel disconnected from ourselves and our world. My hope is to provide guidance, tools, and support in order for you to feel safe and restored.
